High School Coach Evaluation: Dallas had a big improvement from his sophomore to his junior year and really works hard on all aspects of his game. He is relentless on the boards and protects the rim. Dallas has had great improvement on his ball handling as well as his outside jumper which allows him to stretch the floor. He has become a more versatile player, stronger and quicker and is now a player that has to be respected on the perimeter as well as in the paint. He has been willing to put in the hard work necessary to be an impact player and it has helped to increase his confidence in addition to his productivity. Dallas would be a good fit for a D1 mid major! We’re looking for him to expand his role and have a big senior year. – Coach Mike Holland, Head Coach Churchland High School. Coach Holland starred at Churchland High School and later at Christopher Newport University where he was a starting point guard and team captain and earned All Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors while helping CNU to the 1997 Dixie Conference Title and number 3 ranking nationally. CNU also advanced to the NCAA DIII Tournament’s Sweet 16 that season.

Coach Frank says: Dallas has progressed rapidly over the last year in all areas of his game. He is now one of the area’s top forwards in the 2018 class. He has always been more comfortable as a face up big and displayed good shot mechanics and a nice touch on the jumper out to 22 feet but has now improved his shot consistency and his range. He has improved his handle and can create his own shot and lead the break. As his body has developed and he has become more exposed to the necessity of weight training and conditioning, Dallas has improved his quickness, vertical jump and durability. He is a more active rebounder, quick off his feet and is a very good repeat jumper. He can endure the physical play inside and has increased his scoring and presence on the glass as he is able to endure contact and finish more consistently and get to the offensive glass and score more frequently. Dallas has a solid work ethic and improved confidence as a result of his increased strength and mobility. He is now an impact player who is an imposing paint presence and a capable perimeter threat. As he continues to improve both physically and fundamentally, Dallas will emerge as a player DI coaches should add to their watch list.
