2023 Jake Chisholm (Durham Academy)
Jake was hot in both games he played Sunday. Started out the morning with 5 threes against HPCA, simply couldn’t be left alone. Also showed the ability to create off the dribble and finish through contact. Kept his rhythm going in game 2 with 10 straight points to start out, definitely a lethal spot up threat
2023 Isaiah Sanders (High Point Christian Academy)
The young PG already had an impact as a sophomore at HPCA and looks to take over the team this year with the departure of KJ Garrett. He’s more than ready, as he fills in the floor general role with his ball handling and decision making. Can knock down the 3 ball but more dangerous getting inside and pulling up
2023 Kaden Holdbrook (Asheville School)
Kaden did an excellent job running the offense and getting the looks his team needed. Operated ad their primary ball handler but was also their most dangerous shooting threat. Made 4 threes in natural rhythm and also put it on the floor to finish with his strong frame
2022 Leon Nahar (Asheville School)
The potential is there for Leon, with the obvious appeal being his 6’9 length and wingspan. He struggled offensively but I was impressed with his effort and attitude. Worked really hard and got up and down the court quick. Extremely positive and encouraging all game, hyped up his teammates after every play
2022 Logan Threatt (Concord Academy)
I would take Logan as my PG any day of the week. I can’t remember the last time I watched a player be that vocal and carry the same high level of energy all game long. He sees the court and sets his teammates up, and also can be a great defensive weapon with his aggressiveness and leadership
2024 Langston Boyd (Concord Academy)
Langston made some of the most impressive plays seem effortless, as if he was practicing in the gym alone. The defense had no effect on him, rising up big time on finishes and elevating on jumpers. Lefties usually have such smooth games and Langston falls right into that category, sleek and explosive
2023 Chase Dawson (Cary Academy)
Chase makes sure his impact is left on the court, relentlessly attacking the basket and penetrating the lane. He’s got an all around game, as he also was a deadly shooting threat. He knocked down 5 threes on his way to 26 points against Concord Academy
