2023 Dallas Gardner (Flight 9)If you didn't think he was the best player on the court before tip, Dallas will change your mind very quickly. Plays with a chip on his shoulder as if there's always something new to prove and backs it up with his playmaking ability. Has the ultimate confidence and swagger out on the court, smooth as can be just going out and getting things done with his high motor that never runs out. Throw in his unselfishness and high IQ and you've got a legitimate PG that can lead you to wins on a night-to-night basis, look for a big junior season ahead at Charlotte Country Day!

2025 Tripp McMillan (Clemmons Wolfpack)Because of his size at this age, Tripp is used primarily as a post option. But he has all the makings of a big guard that's already grown into his body. He's bound to keep growing, but he's ahead of others with his coordination and control as a player. Knocked down 4 threes in a tight battle, finishing with 18 points, and each one was crucially needed. Stretches the floor with his athleticism and strong handle on the ball.

2024 Cam Flippen (Triad Hornets)Unlike a bull in a china shop, Cam had purpose and success with putting his head down and exploding to the basket. The lefty PG got to the cup at will, even though the defense knew what was coming. To be only a rising sophomore, he's already got a physically mature body and game that seeks contact, leaving him fully equipped to not only impact but lead the varsity squad this year at Dudley.

2025 Jack Sullivan (Carolina Riptide)I don't think I saw anyone on the day want a game as bad as Jack. You could tell how badly he wanted to win, and he worked his butt off for it. Takes no plays off flying around the court on defense, and isn't phased by contact or pressure unlike most incoming freshman. This dude is a Riptide guard through and through, playing the only way they know how: tough.

2024 Ishmael Mande (Carolina Clutch)It's not a coincidence when good things tend to follow a player on the court. Ishmael makes the right plays, which lead to buckets and wins. Doesn't have to score to impact the game, as he operates as a glue guy for this squad providing whatever is needed. Plays with a lot of energy on both ends and doesn't force things, letting the offense develop and get the look they want.
