2023 AJ Hewitt (PSB Select)
I enjoyed watching this kid play today. Has great footwork in the paint, took smart shots, and hauled in a lot of rebounds. Very high IQ player and used his body very well. He also has a soft touch from the mid range free throw line area and really just had an impressive overall day. He never really got sped up and just stayed aggressive all game long. Coaches who need an inside touch should definitely give him a look.
2023 Ryan Temple (PSB Select)
This was just an all around impressive performance. He plays the game at a controlled pace at all times. Solid footwork in the post, rebounded well, and also had a smooth left hand jump shot to go along with it. Also great size and knows how to use it. He never did too much with the ball and always made every move count. Scored on all three levels whether it was a post up, mid range, or three he was consistent either way. If this kid keeps developing he has potential to be a solid threat at the next level.
2024 Brogan Hill (Rim Runners)
This was one of my favorite performances of the day. This wasn’t a kid who scored 40 but that’s exactly what his impact on the game made it seem like. He did all the dirty work for his team and this type of player is what you call an opposing coach’s nightmare! I love how hard this kid plays every single possession. He brought in some tough rebounds, hit shots, and defended well. Type of kid you love to play with and hate to play against! Overall I feel a coach will be very lucky to have a kid who works this hard on their squad.
2023 Nayshin Waller (Wildcats)
Watch your head when this kid has a clear path to the rim… This kid has displayed some freaky athleticism! Great with finishing around the rim and using his strength to his advantage. I know this kid will have a special home somewhere just because of how much he produces overall. He plays the game the right way and never tries to do too much. His aggressiveness was fascinating to watch because it never seemed to die down. He was scoring a ton of points all within the paint once again using his strength and athleticism. If he keeps developing his shot and getting even stronger the future is looking very bright for this kid.
