2023 Cam Oates (Garner Road Bryant)
Garner Road Bryant had a lot of big intriguing prospects but it was PG Cam Oates stood out leading the charge. Managed their offense as the primary ball-handler and decision-maker but also put the ball in the basket as well. Cam shot the three-ball well and made nice moves in transition off of his defensive pressure forcing turnovers.
2024 Delani Hammonds (Team Synergy 2023)
Finishing with 20 points in a big win over Garner Road Bryant, Delani found ways to get crafty with the ball and score. Probably the smallest guard on the court, but also the quickest, he used bursts of speed to sneak into the lane and knock down floater after floater, then came up with 4/4 on free throws in the final minute of a close game.
2023 Cole Peradeau (Charlotte Royals)
One of the many impressive Ardrey Kell guards on display this weekend, Cole scored the ball well with his aggression and physicality driving to the basket. But what makes him stick out is his mentality, he didn’t take any plays off and was going after every loose ball. Definitely, a glue guy that doesn’t need to score to impact the game
2024 Camden Edmonds (Winston 76ers)
Standing at 6’3, Camden uses his body well as a bigger guard. He plays with a natural feel to the game that accompanies his toughness to give him easy buckets. Was versatile with the ability to guard the posts of the other team, perimeter jump shot looked smooth as well. Definitely another strong West Stokes guard as the tradition goes
2022 Michael Jordan (Carolina Zoom)
Michael took over in the second half to secure the victory over Better Basketball. He scored bucket after bucket, just being a shotmaker. Even at 5’9, he made his presence felt on the glass just rising up above others. Went on a 9 or 11 point run by himself near the end and finished with 21. If one thing’s for sure, he’s smooth with the ball in his hands
2025 Jerron Blackwell (Team Bond)
Jerron was huge in guiding his team to the 14u championship. He’s been gifted with a physically mature body as well as athleticism and made plays all over the place. Smooth ball handler that got shifty with the crossovers to get into the lane and then finished strong off his elevation
