6’7 ’22 Joyful Hawkins (North Florida Prep)

In all honesty, Hawkins possess as much raw talent as anyone from this contest. His combination of size, length, and athleticism allows him to physically impose his will against most opposing forwards. However, Hawkins is more than an athlete. His offensive skillset has made strides since last summer, and he looks more than comfortable at making plays with the ball in his hands. Hawkins finished, posted-up, spaced the floor, and hit challenging jumpers while working to make an impact defensively and on the glass. No opposing forward or post was able to defend him off the bounce. Showcased plenty of ability throughout this game.

6’8 ’22 Nordin Kapic (The Skill Factory)

There were a lot of productive pieces for this squad, but Kapic was arguably their most impressive performer. He provides a steady, reliable presence as a defender and rebounder, but can really adapt to whatever the team needs on offense. Kapic can consistently post-up and score inside the paint or space the floor and knock down perimeter jumpers at a high percentage. He can attack opposing bigs within a dribble or two, and can finish with either hand. Kapic also does a phenomenal job of positioning himself for success on both ends of the floor. His stock should definitely rise going forward.

6’2 ’22 Jamar Franklin (Speights Academy)

Although the entire team showcased next-level ability, Franklin clearly set the tone during the opening minutes. He scored in various ways, created for others, found opportunities as a cutter/spot-up threat, and proved to be pesky defensively. He’s smart, tough, and plays with a high motor, which allows him to naturally affect all facets of the game. Franklin effectively played either backcourt position, adapted his approach as needed, and displayed no glaring weaknesses on either side of the ball.

6’9 ’22 Cliff Robinson III (TLPS)

Despite some struggles as a team, there’s plenty of intrigue with a prospect like Robinson. He’s lengthy with a nice blend of athleticism and perimeter shooting, particularly for his size. He showed the ability to finish, create for himself, and initiate offense as needed. Robinson is able to rise up above contesting defenders to knock down jumpers, both from midrange and beyond the arc. He also possesses a ton of upside defensively.
