5’9 ’23 Jake Baker (Carolina Riptide)

Although the Riptide consistently stands out as one of the more balanced squads on display, Baker absolutely erupted for a scoring explosion in this contest. He always finds opportunities through his quality defense and willingness to make hustle plays, but seemed to convert anything he attempted. Baker hit spot-up jumpers, attacked closeouts, and finished or set up others, which allowed him to emerge as a leader.

6’0 ’22 Davante Gonzalez (NLPB 803)

Few teams are as tough and unselfish as NLPB 803, and Gonzalez is a massive part of their overall identity. He’s a quick, heady, rugged floor general with a nice balance between scoring and playmaking. Gonzalez is a pesky defender with quickness and sharp anticipation instincts, which allow him to suffocate opposing ball-handlers and force turnovers with regularity. He’s at his best in transition, but also makes a quality impact in the half-court.

5’11 ’23 Trey Green (Team Eat)

Arguably the most talented team in attendance, Team Eat performed very well behind the play and leadership of Green. He’s a smart, poised, balanced point guard prospect with craftiness, sharp vision, and the ability to score with efficiency from all levels. Green is also a quality defender and capable rebounder for his size. He’s such a well-rounded player and has no glaring weaknesses within his skillset. It’s easy to understand why he’s so highly

5’10 ’23 JJ Moore (NLPB Senyo)

Anyone who watched NLPB Senyo should definitely appreciate the leadership and overall play of Moore, who was nearly dominant in this contest. He’s smart, quick, heady, and extremely tough, which translates nicely on both ends of the floor. Moore carried the scoring load for extended stretches, showing vision, finishing ability, and efficiency from all levels. He’s great defensively and in transition, but also makes a consistent impact in the half court.
