5’6 ’27 Corey Kinard (Strong Center)
Despite being among the younger prospects on display, it’s already quite easy to see the overall appeal with someone like Kinard—especially over the long-term future. He displays advanced IQ and a fairly complete skillset. Kinard controlled the pace exceptionally well, created for himself and others, and highlighted a balanced offensive approach. The talent is clear. He will be one to monitor throughout his continued growth.
5’10 ’24 Will Googins (Carolina Riptide)
There are a variety of useful guards within the Carolina Riptide organization, and Googins has been as consistent as any of them. He’s a tough, heady floor general with IQ, vision, and the ability to apply scoring pressure from all levels. Googins is a scrappy defender with sharp instincts and a desire to make the best play whenever possible. He leads by example, through communication, and sets the tone with his steady production.
6’2 ’23 Brandon Nelson (Ace Elite)
Although there are numerous additions to this roster, Nelson’s status among their top guys remains unchanged. He’s a smooth, wiry guard who excels as a perimeter shooter—both from midrange and beyond the arc. Nelson is extremely reliable, both off the catch and bounce, and consistently gets to his spots (and converts). He defends, rebounds, makes nice passes, and can also run the team if necessary.
6’4 ’23 Jesse Mitchell (Strong Center)
It’s easy to get excited about this Strong Center squad, and Mitchell quietly stood out among their top performers across the weekend. He’s a knockdown shooter with size and an extremely low-maintenance identity. Mitchell is able to make a lasting impression within the flow of the action, moving without the ball, making the extra pass, and carrying his weight as defender and rebounder. He excels within his role on both ends of the floor.
6’6 ’22 Mikhail Pocknett (WBC Elite)
The WBC Elite program has multiple unsigned prospects, and Pocknett is as valuable as anyone on the roster. He’s a strong, mobile, versatile forward with the ability to get downhill, attack the basket, and finish or set up others. Pocknett plays well through contact and does a nice job of securing multiple rebounds within the same possession. He can handle the ball and create pretty well for his size. Pocknett also converted from midrange and forced turnovers at a nice rate.
6’5 ’22 Isaiah Williams (Team Synergy)
Possibly the most enticing unsigned senior in the building, Williams is simply a reliable, well-rounded forward who understands how to naturally affect all facets of the game. He plays within himself and the team concept extremely well. Williams is a strong finisher, defender, and two-way rebounder with touch, vision, and a quality feel for the game.
