Magness is one to start keeping a look out for on the court, has he produced this past season and is showing it once again this summer. This past season at West Charlotte, Magness helped lead the charge and filling up the stat sheet. He played in 27 games, averaging 14.9 points, 6.6 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game.

When talking to assistant coach Charles Williams from West Charlotte, he had this to say about where Magness excels on the court and where he is contiuning to improve.

“His court vision is remarkable, getting to the rim, and he is a sneaky rebounder,” he told Phenom Hoops. “I think his decision making has gotten better and him trying to be a more vocal leader on the floor form what I have seen at the Phenom Tournament.”

Speaking of the Phenom Hoops tournament, Magness continued to put up numbers, averaging just under 20 points per game in three outings. Phenom Hoops Jason Porter had this to say about his performance at the Queen City Showcase.

“Do it all type kid for this team. Can go get it on the glass, lead the break, and drive and finish as needed. Solid athlete with bounce. Had a complete game. Translates to the next level easily.”

Magness certainly showed that he will be one that can make a mark in the class of 2022 and should start seeing his recruitment pick up soon.
