Bacot has always been a big time recruit however, in the last year he has started to become a blue chip recruit. A bonafide 5 star guy who every school in the country will want.

Standing at 6’9”, the sophomore has an incredible wing span at 7’2’. He seemingly blocks, or effects, every shot in the paint. He is a strong 2-handed rebounder and works hard in and out of his area. In the VISAA Division 1 Semi-Finals, against Bishop OConnell (and 6’9” Providence signee Nate Watson) Bacot was the biggest factor in the paint. Bacot finished with 13 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocked shots in the win.

We have seen Bacot grow over the years. He is an alum of the prestigious Virginia Top 80, an even that brings together the best players in the state to compete against one another. Naturally, Bacot was a standout there.

After watching Bacot in a game earlier this season we wrote, “Bacot was the best player in the entire event and has the potential to be a future McDonalds All-American. As his team took the win over Oscar Smith (85-70), he scored 25 points (10-15FG), grabbed 10 rebounds, 5 dimes, blocked 4 shots, and earned 2 steals. Bacot used his big body frame to get great positioning inside the paint and then used a series of basic post moves to go along with his fantastic touch around the basket to score and dominant over his defenders. For a big man, he is very willing to pass to his teammates for a better opportunity/look to score. Defensively, he used his timing and his 225lbs build around the rim to block/contest shots. He also showed signs of his shooting as he connected on a mid-range and banked in one three-pointer. As his career goes along, the 3.9GPA student would need to develop a midrange game for an even brighter future.”

Bacot describes himself has a post up big who blocks shots. While he is working on his free throw shooting, he says that he is looking at a lot of Jahlil Okafor in that he wants to be an “old school style big with some new age game to him.”

Currently Bacot is ranked around 50 or so in the country and he carries offers from the likes of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Purdue and others. This list will continue to grow. He is planning to play 17s for Team Loaded on the Adidas Gauntlet this summer.

When you see him, you see he is a no-brainer.
