It was only a matter of time before 6'2' 2020 Jajuan Carr picked up his first offer. On June 15, Carr picked up an offer from East Carolina University, a big first offer as they are considered a 'Power 6' program in the American Atlantic Conference, the conference that broke off from the Big East a couple years ago and has programs such as UConn, Wichita St, Cincinnati, SMU, Memphis, etc'in the league.

Our first viewing of Carr came at the March NC Phenom 150 Exposure Camp. The rising junior at Heide Trask High School made quite the impression as we wrote, 'Carr is a supreme athlete with great strength and explosion heading toward the rim. He has great form and range on his jump shot which pairs well with his ability to get to and finish at and above the rim. Carr's camp coach stated, 'Jajuan is D1! Great shooter, great passer, great athleticism. When he locks in, Carr is also a tough defender.'

Carr has all the tools of a high level point guard, yet he still remains under the radar as a prospect. There is not much in his game that you look at and it won't translate at a high level. He has great size with natural strength and a quick burst with explosion at the rim. The change of pace is great and the jump shot is good, with range. Defensively, he is aggressive, active and in your face. He moves his feet well and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Watch out below though as Carr has next level explosion too, after he touches the paint you better not be late rotating of he will put it on your head. After his most recent performance with us at Phenom's 3G Showcase in May we were fully sold on Carr as a prospect writing, 'Playing up, I am not even sure Carr realizes how good he is. He is a complete point guard, starting with having a big strong frame. He plays with a great pace and has a jet-quick first step. Carr shoots the ball well, he defends/rebounds and he can go up over you. Another one that mid to high level coaches need to watch closely in July.'

Watching Carr, even for just one game, it is easy to see his immense talent. Carr is currently ranked 15th in North Carolina’s extremely loaded 2020 class (ahead of a couple guys who carry high major offers). Watch him in July, he will become the main target of many programs and even pick up more offers as the month carries on.

Carr will be with WBC Elite 17s at Phenom's Summer Havoc Live on July 13-15 in Spartanburg, SC. Don't miss getting on him early!
