Out in New Jersey at University High School, a 6'2 prospect has been quietly making a name for himself and it seems that he has a chance to be a big-time target in the coming years.

Spencer Joyner certainly had a unique season, after fighting through a back injury and only getting a chance to play in 10 games this season but the freshman prospect averaged 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, stepping up big in the playoffs.

It is why he has already earned a few offers and several schools are already showing interest his way.  So how would he describe his game'

'I would describe my game as an all-around player,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'I am athletic, can get to the rim, defend the 1-4 if I have to, and create for others.  I've been working on my shot more to become a knockdown shooter but I am a good spot up shooter.'

'(I'm working on) everything really but mostly I'm focusing on my shooting, on the move and mid-range, three's, and pull-ups.  Changing speeds knowing when to slow up and turn it on; floaters having a soft touch and extending my arm.'

The rising sophomore already holds offers from Seton Hall, Howard, Rider, Arkansas Little-Rock, Fairfield, Merrimack, and Coppin State but also has been receiving interest from Creighton, Maryland, Iona, Marquette, Rutgers, and St. John's.

In what could be a loaded 2023 class in New Jersey, Joyner is one to start tracking now and has a chance to be a big-time national name.
