6’2″ Combo guard Grayson Honaker from {2021 Honaker HS} w/ Team Xplosion U16- Virginia had a tremendous game with 26 points 9 rebounds and 4 steals in a loss against the Charlotte Nets. Although the numbers were very sound across the board, what was most impressive was his motor during the entire game in which they trailed the Nets. Grayson and his team mates never gave up and continued to grind and there character showed in a time of adversity and any coach would welcome a player with his character…not to mention his 6 – 3 pointers as well!
5’11” PG Michael Mason {2020 East Meck. HS} w/ U16 Charlotte Nets had an outstanding all around game in a win against the aforementioned above Team Xplosion U16 Virginia. Michael had a double double w/ 16 points and 10 assists, but that wasn’t the thing that inspired his team to victory today, it was his floor leadership on both ends of the court! He refused to lose and continued to push the ball with even handed accuracy and defensively covered 94 feet most of the game. Inspired effort that was contagious with his team mates which lead to victory. Well done.
6’5″ Swingman Beck Wazan {2019 Southlake HS} plays for the traditional power house Charlotte Royals U17 team and had a stellar game today in a win against Combine Academy U17 with a 22 point 11 rebound double/double effort. Beck ran the floor well which led to a number of his transition points but what was most impressive is his overall range from mid-level out to deep three point shooting. Was also a solid presence in the paint on defense.
