5’9” Clay Hodges

Carolina Riptide 15s
Hodges is pretty much the straw that stirs the drink for this very good Carolina Riptide program. This team, who won the 15u championship, is the epitome of “team” with their ball movement, team defense and ability to not care who gets the stats. All of that starts with Hodges, who has the unique ability to effect the entire outcome of a game without even scoring a point. Great weekend and very fun to watch.

6’1” Isaiah Williams

NC Empire – Go Hard 16s
Williams played up in the 16u bracket, but you could not tell he was younger than everyone. In fact, Williams may have played with more swag than anyone else on the floor. He has a solid handle and the ability to score the ball when attacking the rim or pulling up from 3. Very intriguing prospect, eager to watch his development as he continues to grow.

6’6” JaDun Michaels

Team Loaded NC 2020
Michaels has great size and is a very good athlete. His calling card is on the defensive end of the floor, as he is able to defend multiple positions. Michaels is a good athlete and is able to get downhill in straight lines off the bounce. Expanding his game, he showed the ability to shoot the ball here off the catch. Very nice looking prospect, one that D1s should probably put in their SIM Cards and start tracking now.

6’ Jacobi Wright

Team CP3 16s
Playing up in grade, Wright showed no mercy on the older opponents. On Sunday, playing up on 17s, Wright displayed his dead eye shooting touch. He handled the ball well and he was confident with deep range. Wright plays mistake free basketball, which added to his shot making prowess fits perfectly with this new age of basketball point guards. D1 coaches should go ahead and put him on their SIM Card and start tracking.

6’4” Tucker Johnson

Upward Stars Charlotte 15s
Johnson was a physical factor playing in the 15u division. He stands a strong and sturdy 6’4” with long arms and a very active motor. Johnson showed good hands and was able to rebound well and finish around the basket. Where he really did his damage was on the boards and the defensive end. Eager to see him continue to develop, especially with his size. A lot to like at this point.
