Three Schools In to See West Charlotte Duo Last Night

On December 28-30 West Charlotte High School will be part of the 12-team field at Phenom's Palmetto Winter Classic at Ben Lippen School in Columbia, South Carolina.

Patrick Williams is ranked #67 by rivals.com in his class. Last night Virginia Teach assistant Steve Roccaforte and Temple Head Coach Fran Dunphy were in to watch Williams, both schools have offered. Williams finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals.

UNC-Greensboro Head Coach Wes Miller was by to watch Jernigan. Jernigan had a heck of a showing in last night's win going for 17 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals.

Currently Williams has 15-plus offers including from Florida State, NC State, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Texas A&M, Florida, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Depaul and others. Williams has unbelievable fluidity and the ability to pass, shoot and handle the ball. He is a supreme athlete and still growing, even at #67 Williams is still ranked a little low.

After watching Williams at a recent Phenom Hoops event this year, National Analyst Rick Lewis wrote, 'Without question, he is a marquee player in the North Carolina class of 2019 and is on the verge of a huge uptick in his recruitment. In our opinion, he is the next big star to come out of West Charlotte. First of all, he has tremendous size, length, athleticism and a matching skill set. Patrick has an unbelievable feel for the game and we were equally impressed with his poise and maturity…'

Jernigan is already carrying offers from Mercer, Hampton, and Liberty. He is an explosive, downhill lead guard. Jernigan has good vision and uber explosion with some tenacity playing tough on the ball defense.

Look for the recruitment of this pair to continue going strong, they are high caliber prospects who should garner most every program in the country taking a look.
