6’7″ 2020 Kelton Talford
Carolina Pressure (SC) 17s
Carolina Pressure (SC) 17s
Talford is an interesting talent, a unique two-way player who can defend across 3 positions and is a matchup nightmare on the offensive end. He has great length and athleticism and is a virtual lock for 25 and 12 each game. Carrying a Maryland Eastern Shore offer, he should have a litany of mid-majors ready to pull the trigger in April with some higher levels looking on.
6’6″ 2021 Treyvon Byrd
NC Ice (NC) 16s
NC Ice (NC) 16s
Byrd walks onto the floor, looking the part. Then he plays and leaves no doubt. He is a high flying wing who attacks the rims with a purpose. Byrd showed comfort on the ball, he has upside as a defender and he had no less than 5 jaw-dropping dunks, both in traffic and transition. Recruitment should start at mid-level and it could grow from there. TONS to like here.
6’8″ 2020 Javon Benson
Carolina Wolves (SC) 17s
Benson is an absolute paint protector. His length and athleticism allow him to be an intimidating presence. Then Benson goes ahead and knocks down multiple 3s in the game and takes his man off the bounce, dunking on him, and you begin to see why he carries 5 or so offers. Again, in April, the mid-level schools will line up to watch.
6’7″ 2019 Nate Dunlap
Atlanta Timberwolves (GA) 17s
At this point it is getting somewhat comical that Dunlop has no D1 offers. That said, he had a litany of D2 schools watching yesterday with Head Coaches from Wingate and UNC-Pembroke along with a slew of assistants. Rightfully so, Dunlop is an explosive wing who carries deep range and confidence. He rebounds, he shoots from 30′ and he will dunk on your head. A lot to like here as he averaged over 20 per game, including a game-high 33 yesterday. D1 target in April.
5’7″ 2019 DJ Thomas
NC Red Storm (NC) 17s
Thomas is one of the most electric players in the event. Once he steps on the floor you cannot take your eyes off him. The lefty is quick twitch with unbelievable body control. He gets anywhere on the floor he wants, shoots the cover off the ball and has quick hands in the open floor. If you get the opportunity, watch him. He will excite!!
