Player Standouts
6’2 2019 Travion McCray (Village Christian) – McCray was in full attack mode against the high pressure of AC Flora. He had the peddle to the metal all game and showed the ability to get to the rim, at will and create shots for himself off the bounce. McCray carries Longwood, Stetson and SC State, if he continues to play like today the offers will continue to come. He finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.

6’2 unsigned senior Jonathan Breeland (Blythewood) – Breeland has taken this event by the horns and come out to completely dominate both games. Breeland is a strong guard who plays with a great pace and uncanny court vision. He doesn’t get rushed and seems to always make the right play. He picked up his first offer today from Newberry, expect that list to grow. He finished with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals and led his team to tomorrow’s championship game.

6’8 unsigned senior KC Hankton (United Faith) – Hankton can flat out score the ball. He showed the ability in all 3 levels with touch, footwork and skill. Hankton has great size and the lefty has a toughness about him on the boards, grabbing them strongly with 2 hands. He has had a lot of coaches watching and he finished this one with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks.

6’7 2018 Jimmy Nichols (Conway/Providence) – Nichols looked like a Big East forward today, showing a full arsenal of attack. The lefty has a 7 foot wingspan and is very athletic and quick off his feet. Defensively he is a stopper and he is able to set up and attack from different spots on the floor. There is still some ceiling here and he is getting better each time out. He finished with 19 points, 11 boards, 4 blocks and led his team to the championship game tomorrow.

6’9 unsigned senior Robert Braswell (Blythewood) – Braswell is a great shooter, it is that plain and simple. He has deep range, soft touch and a quick trigger. Rutgers was in to see him tonight and the intrigue with him continues to grow, as it should. Explosive, long, and can stroke it, that is a high major formula. He finished with 19 points (7-8 FG/5-5 3P), 9 rebounds tonight, leading his team to tomorrow’s finals.
