Matt Coleman is a name known around the country and will be one of several prospects at the National Showcase
Matt Coleman is a national name heard around the United States. As he played with Boo Williams in the 2016 Nike EYBL circuit, he averaged 12.6PPG while shooting 53% from the field and dished out just over 3APG.
During Oak Hill’s run to the Dick’s National Championship last year, Coleman showed the ability to control the floor. Coleman has also shown the quickness and anticipation to be high level on ball defender, Phenom Hoops’ National analyst Jamie Shaw stated, “Matt Coleman is a quick twitch point guard who shines in transition. He has good court vision and is a nice on ball defender.”
One of the things that sticks out about Coleman is the pace in which he plays, Phenom Hoops’ National analyst Rick Lewis stated, “There are not many point guards in the country that has the speed, athleticism, quickness, and advanced skill set as Matt Coleman.”
Coleman, who narrowed his list to five schools (Texas, Duke, Syracuse, Stanford, and Kansas), just came off an official visit to Texas this past weekend.
