Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
(Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)

12PM Vs. Oceanside Collegiate

Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach is coming off a run to the South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA) 2A State Championship game. They get on the road and want to play in all the region's major events, willing to play any team at any location.

Christian Academy is an incredibly fun team to watch play. They have good size and they have a team full of players who can shoot the cover off the ball. Juniors Davis Guyton and Mike Green have to be thought of as two of the best shooters in South Carolina. Senior big man Sam Woods and junior forward Jalen Matthews are work horses in the paint. They defend, they share the ball and the can find the bottom of the net from all 5 positions.

Watch this team closely, you won't want to miss this show.

6'3' junior Mike Green
Green is the highest recruited player on this team, and possibly in program's history. The lefty guard has been starting since the 8th grade, and led the team in scoring each of the previous 3 seasons. Green is a sharp-shooter, no doubt, but his ability to see the floor really sets him apart. He is able to create for himself and for others, truly an offensive threat who translates. Green is averaging 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game this year.

6'6' junior Davis Guyton
Guyton is just a different level of shooter than many out there. At last weekend's Phenom's Palmetto Winter Classic Guyton averaged 6 made 3s per game, shooting over 50% for the event, from beyond the arc. He has great size and it is fun to watch him get his shot off. A lightning quick release and great footwork has every shot looking like it's dead center off the release. This year he is averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

6'7' unsigned senior Sam Woods
Woods is the catalyst in the paint for Christian Academy. The lefty has a 6'11' wing span and is a quick leaper with great timing. When called upon he is able to score the ball, but every time out he rebounds and blocks shots. Right now Woods carries offers from Lees McRae and Coker, but he has a number of Division 1 schools at his games watching. He is averaging 8 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots per game.
