What We’re Looking For
Phenom’s Feast of Champions
Part 3: The National Stars
Such a great field of talent is coming. The teams are some of the best in the region and the players will be playing in prime time games on television over the next few years. We are excited to be able to showcase Fayetteville, NC as the hot bed for talent that it is
Here are some of the thing we’re looking for…
The Stars
6’7” 2019 Josiah James
Porter Gaud (SC) – #31 junior by Rivals.com
James is one of the countries emerging stars. We have been calling for James to be ranked among the countries elite for two years now, Rivals.com has finally taken notice and should set the trend moving forward. Look for James to continue to gradually move up the rankings until he graduates and his offer list should continue to follow suit. James makes the game easy for everyone on the floor, on both ends. He is explosive, he has incredible vision and court sense from the point guard position and his length and IQ make him very disruptive in the passing lanes. Get in early here, he is on the verge of becoming a household name.
6’5” 2018 Coby White (UNC)
Greenfield School (NC) – #10 senior by 247Sports
While James is on the verge, Coby White has already established himself as a household entity. White is the best scorer in the country and should break North Carolina’s high school scoring record this season. His buckets are effortless and they come at you in waves. He is incredibly fun to watch as he plays with great passion and gives non-stop effort. Rivals.com said White could emerge as a one and done type player, he is that talented and absolutely worth the price of admission. He should have a battle as he faces Imajae Dodd on Saturday, one of NCs emerging talents and an absolute high light reel.
6’6” 2018 Aaron Nesmith (Vanderbilt)
Porter Gaud (SC) – #102 senior 247 Composite
Nesmith is one of the most under rated wing prospects in the country. The 6’6” wing has led the Porter Gaud team in scoring since his 8th grade season. Standing at 210 pounds Nesmith has a 7’2” wing span with a 40” vertical jump, unbelievable physical traits. He shoots the ball at an incredibly high clip and attacks the basket with a vigor. Nesmith is a high scoring wing, one that will put up numbers in a hurry and do so in an impressive fashion. Look for him to end up as an All-SEC type performer during his time at Vanderbilt, but watch now so you are able to say you “watch him when…”
