What We’re Looking For
Phenom’s Feast of Champions

Such a great field of talent is coming. The teams are some of the best in the region and the players will be playing in prime time games on television over the next few years. We are excited to be able to showcase Fayetteville, NC as the hot bed for talent that it is

Here are some of the thing we’re looking for…

Games
Village Christian Vs. Porter Gaud

Both teams are 2-time defending state champions. They are both incredibly well coached and both are incredibly talented with athletes who will bring the crowd to their feet at a moment’s notice.

Village Christian is led by a pair of 2019s as 6’7” Khuath Gatkhuath and 6’2” Travion McCray have gotten off to a great start this year. Expect their recruitment to continue to sky rocket as they have obvious next level skill sets.

Porter Gaud is led by a trio of players who have been playing together for years. 4-star Vanderbilt signee Aaron Nesmith is one of the most under rated wings in the country. 6’9” Yale signee Jake Lanford is able to control the paint. 2019 4-star Josiah James will make a push toward 5-star status throughout this year.

These are two of the best teams in their respective states with Porter Gaud starting to gain national traction, being listed among the best. This should be a dog fight, exciting to say the least.

Burlington School Vs. Eastern Guilford
These are two of North Carolina’s best teams, but the story here is these schools are only 10 miles apart and they do not play one another regularly.

Burlington School is in the midst of an all-time winning streak as they have won 88 of their past 89 games. In that time they have won two NCISAA 1A State championships. Senior Josiah Jeffers has won 99 games during his career. The 6’1” guard is committed to Longwood. Add in what 6’5” unsigned senior Mekhi Fox and 6’5” 2021 JaDun Michael bring and this team will make another run at a national ranking.

Eastern Guilford finished 26-4 last season where they made it to the NCHSAA 3A state finals. They return all but one who received significant playing time. They are led by 6’3” Gardner Webb signee Jaylen Alston who will make a run at All-State. Unsigned Senior Montez Venable will have a lot of college options when he decides and 6’7” 2020 Nick McMullen is one to watch.

All in all, these two teams have won a lot of games and are undefeated to this point so far this season. Look for yet another state title run from both of them.

Cape Fear Christian Vs. Fayetteville Academy
These two schools are local to one another and are very familiar with the other team. They have done a great job of bringing in scholarship level players as each team has multiple college players on their rosters. There is size and there will be good guard play.

Fayetteville Academy is led by 6’9” 2019 Emmanuel Izunabor. Already carrying an East Carolina offer, schools at that level and higher will fall in love with what he does and his ability to protect the paint. 6’6” 2019 Williams Onyeobi is one of the hardest playing guys in North Carolina. The uber athlete is very strong and he is able to defend 4 positions on the floor.

Cape Fear Christian also has incredible size. However, it is their guard play with unsigned senior Isaiah Tatum and 2019 Riley Adams who will lead the way. Both are happy on and off the ball with ability to pass, handle and shoot. 6’8” unsigned senior Milos Galogaza has great size and skill, he is a matchup issue. Watch also 6’7” 2019s Dillon Butler and Marcus Owens.

Something tells us that these two teams really want to win this one. They know each other and this is their only matchup of the season. Enjoy the competitiveness here.
