Feast of Champions

Team Preview Cape Fear Christian Academy

Coach Dwight Miler and his Cape Fear Christian Academy team will be participating in the upcoming Feast of Champions Thanksgiving Tournament to be held November 24-25 at Fayetteville Academy. Coming into the event, Cape Fear Christian Academy sports a 2-0 record. We have known Coach Miller for quite some time and when it comes to being truly one of the good guys in the business, he is at the top of the list. Coach Miller has been involved in youth travel ball and has taken his talents to the high school coaching scene. You have heard the expression about coaches doing things the right way and for the right reason and we can add Dwight Miller to this list. We have always been impressed with Coach Miller's relentless work ethic and being an advocate of helping young players achieve their dreams by getting college basketball scholarships.

Last season, Cape Fear Christian Academy finished the season with a 19-15 record and an impressive 8-2 record in the powerful NCISAA Carolina Christian Conference. Now, let's take a closer look at the impact players for the 2017-18 season.

6'0 '18 Isaiah Tatum

Isaiah Tatum is the heart and soul of the team. Tatum is a high energy athletic guard that plays with maximum effort. He is getting recruited by Charleston Southern and Tennessee State. This season, Tatum is off to a hot start and is averaging 23.5 PPG, 4 APG, 3 SPG, and 6 RPB. In addition to being a high level offensive player, Tatum is a willing and tenacious defender. Tatum sets the pace for Cape Fear Christian Academy and will provide important senior leadership.

6'8 '18 Milos Galogaza

Milos Galogaza is a fundamentally sound and high IQ forward that has the ability to step out and consistently knock down perimeter shots. Galogaza enjoyed an outstanding season and is off to another stellar start for the 2017-18 season. He has averaged 19.5 PPG and 11 RPG in two early season games. He is currently being recruited by American University, Wyoming, UNC-Wilmington, Campbell and NJIT. Galogaza adds versatility and has the ability to play in the paint or on the perimeter.

6'0 '19 Riley Adams

When you ask about Riley Adams, Coach Miller will state, 'Adams is a coach's dream!' Adams is a high IQ, fundamentally sound point guard that has good handles and excellent court vision. In just two games, Adams is averaging 11.5 PPG, 9 APG and 3 SPG. He is already getting interest from Campbell and Gardner Webb. Adams will be looked upon to set the pace and control tempo for Coach Miller.
