Day 1 StorylinesTug Valley Keeps Churning out Mays

A couple of years ago, Tug Valley came down to our Joe Miller Holiday Invitational and Tyler May turned heads. Well, now his younger cousin Caleb May is running the team. Although a completely different player, both Mays showcased a great competitors. Caleb is a true floor general who has excellent vision, and straddles the line perfectly between facilitator and shot maker. He carries deep range on his jump shot and really takes care of the basketball. May competed on the defensive end and was the unquestioned leader on the floor. So much to like.'

Jesse Muncy Play Test Exceeds his Look Test

The Tolsia point guard walks on the floor as a 5'8' sophomore, needless to say, you wouldn't be worried about him walking off the bus. However, once the game starts, Muncy has all the tools in the kit. He can shoot the ball with deep range, he is crafty at the rim and he sees the floor at a high level. Muncy got wherever he wanted on the floor and played with the utmost confidence for Tolsia in the matchup against Beth Haven Christian. He has been starting on varsity since the 7th grade, excited to see where his career continues to go.'

Charles Bediako Could be a Draft Pick

Sure, this is a lofty statement, but the 7-foot junior embodies everything that the NBA is looking for these days. The rim running, rim-protecting big man has quick-twitch athleticism and runs the floor like gazelle. Only a junior in high school and a true 17-year-old, Bediako has the eye of many of college basketball's traditional powers with the likes of Duke, Michigan State, Xavier, Maryland and others already extending offers. Ranked as high as 24 by ESPN, look for that ranking to continue to grow as his light continues to come on.'
