North Rowan is looking to make another deep run in the NCHSAA 1A playoffs and they have a bevy of young talent despite losing a handful of valuable seniors from last years team. Let’s take a look at some of the guys looking to lead the charge this season!

6’9 2022 Brandon White

White has a legitimate shot to be a high major prospect. At 6’9 White tries to rip the rim off the backboard every time he gets the chance and that’s an incredibly welcoming sign for a young big. He’s certainly raw in some areas, his perimeter game is still evolving, his body is still transforming, but he’s got a great frame, athleticism, and a high motor. He runs the floor really well in transition and does a great job protecting the rim on the defensive end. He rebounds both backboards and is absolutely imposing as hell for a sophomore. There’s a lot to like here and he will certainly get a MAJOR bump in our next rankings update.

6’5 2020 Denerio Robinson

Robinson is probably the most explosive wing on the roster and that should translate to productive basketball and some highlight plays. He’s a defensive menace with his combination of size and lateral ability, making him a true 1-4 guy at that end of the floor. Offensively he is confident slashing from the wing with a nice mid-range game and ability to finish above the rim when he gets the chance. Expect a major contribution from Robinson and some scholarship coaches to be watching closely.

6’5 2020 Brandon Jefferson

Jefferson is a great complimentary piece on this roster due to his ability to score inside and out. He’s a wide bodied 6’5 forward that has great footwork on the block, smooth touch in the mid-range and out to beyond the arc, and excellent vision when passing out of the high post. He’s a strong bodied rebounder and is going to end up being a mismatch more often than not. He should be another productive piece on this roster that deserves recognition from college programs.

6’4 2021 Kendrell Goodes

Goodes is another great piece for this group on the wing. He’s another versatile defender that bring a great competitive fire to every possession. He’s a kid that will see his role increase as a do it all wing that’s tasked with providing a steady presence of two way play. He’s a pretty athletic kid that should have some fun moments and a key role on this talented squad. Look for college coaches to take notice as well.

5’9 2021 Zay Davis

Davis is the epitome of an on ball pest. He makes life incredibly difficult for opposing ball handlers, using his incredible strength and athletic abilities to bully other guards around. He’s a really high level rebounder considering his size and has shown to be capable of running the team in spots and getting the ball to the bigs/wings on the offensive end. Will be integral to this teams success over the course of the season.

5’10 2022 Quashawn Carpenter

Carpenter is another PG that will be tasked with running the offense, like the rest of this team he’s a true competitor, and this season should be a great building block towards the rest of his high school career. Definitely a two way presence.
