Antonio Lowe/ W-S Christian vs. Moravian Prep

Coach Lowe built up Moravian Prep last year into a national powerhouse, ultimately leading to a HoopState Championship.  With the likes of Josh Hall, Shakeel Moore, and Jamahri Harvey leading the way, Moravian Prep quickly grabbed the attention of the country.  Now, Coach Lowe leads the Winston-Salem Christian program who looks to quickly make noise with the blend of talent they have.  This is a program that is loaded with talent that holds high-major offers and could quickly be in consideration as one of the top teams in the state (Click here for a roster breakdown).  Moravian Prep, now under Coach Jeremy Ellis, brings a restocked roster that is loaded as well with players that hold multiple offers.  The storylines pretty much write themselves and this should be an INTENSE matchup between these two programs.

The excitement around Liberty Heights new team

Jonas Aidoo has been one of the fastest rising prospects in the country.  Elijah Jamison and PJ Edwards are two prospects that are quickly making a name for themselves even more in North Carolina. Isaac Farah and others could be steals for college coaches… The excitement around Liberty Heights under Coach Mike Wright is high and it should be.  They will be absolutely loaded and many are looking to see how this roster looks this year.  Now, fans will get a chance to see what all the talk has been about against another powerhouse in Bull City National.

Combine Academy looking to kick off the season in a big way

A nationally-ranked program coming into the season, Jeff McInnis is riding the wave after a successful season last year and now the expectations are there; as they should.  This is a program that is loaded with talent in almost every position; young high-major prospects like Robert Dillingham and Jaylen Curry, while also prospects like Patrick Wessler, Mekhi Grant, Michael Dudley, Bryce Alfino, AJ Smith, and several others look to start the season off in a big way.  Will they be able to handle the expectations that are set on them?  The target will be on their back each and every game but Coach McInnis seems to have this team ready to rock and roll.

Could Bull City National be the team to watch out for?

There has been plenty of talk around programs in the Carolinas. Combine Academy, Winston-Salem Christian, Liberty Heights, Lake Norman Christian, and several others… all could be regarded as one of the best teams in the state.  But Bull City National could and should also be in that talk, especially with the talent they have.  You have to first start with one of the top guards in the state in 2022 LJ Thomas, who has quickly risen up the rankings.  Then you have Dondre Watson, who is garnering high-major attention and is a freak athlete.  That doesn’t mention the likes of others like Treyvon Byrd, Comeh Emoubor, Luc Therrien, and others.  Bull City made several statements this summer and they look to make another one against Liberty Heights on Friday night.
