What a great day of basketball. The games were competitive, the crowd was into it, coaches were in the stands, and the players showed out. Here were some of the standouts from the Phenom Summer Jam

2017 Class
5'9 Darius McGhee (Oxford Community)

McGhee has been a name we have spoken about before, he was an invitee to the prestigious NC Top 80, but could not attend due to an injury. McGhee is a cat quick, explosive, high scoring lead guard. He has the ball on a string, and deep range that help lead him to average a 25 points per game. Although, McGhee carries a slight build, he is one to watch, not many can do what he does.

6'1 Jaylan McGill (Olympic HS)
McGill is a confident scoring lead guard. He carries a good frame, and deep range with a quick release. McGill is able to handle the ball against pressure, but is at his best when running shooting with range. Great touch.

6'2 Andrew Ziegler (Olympic HS)
Ziegler is a do it all type of wing, that fits well into a lot of situations and systems. Ziegler spent last year on the side lines with an injury and came back stronger and more explosive. During this event, Ziegler was around every loose ball, went after every rebound, and defended this opposing team's best perimeter player. A lot to like with this glue guy.

6'3 Traccus Chisholm (York Prep)
Chisholm won't really pass a look test, but after you get to watch him play for three (3) games you realize the effect he has on the game. Chisholm is a high IQ guard, who makes shots and great reads. York Prep was able to run some good sets off of Chisholm on the wing and he was also able to bring the ball up in a pinch. Great team guy.
