Recently in one of our latest Phenom Hoops events, our scouts got a chance to view a very intriguing point guard from Georgia that we can only see his stock rising this summer. 2023 6'1 Brandon Rechsteiner from Atlanta Allstars and Etowah high school immediately caught our eyes with his play and only continued to be the talk around Phenom with what we saw. Here are just a FEW things that were said after watching him from our scouts:

'Talk about a guard that created some buzz with his play. Not only did he come out extremely strong to start his day, knocking down threes and scoring effectively, Rechsteiner really showed how strong he can be in leading the charge. He is a smooth operating point guard that excels in creating for himself and others, while also playing strong with the ball and of course being able to knock down shots.  We all really enjoyed what we saw from the point guard and he should be a target for many schools around.' – Patrick O'Brien

'6'1 2023 Brandon Rechsteiner (Atlanta All Stars) is putting on a clinic right now. High basketball IQ. Great skill set. Can absolutely fill it up from the perimeter.' – Tyler Lewis

'6'1 2023 Brandon Rechsteiner (Atlanta All Stars) has been impressive. Smooth PG who creates for others & shoots the ball at a high level. Tough, strong. High IQ. Makes the right play.'

After the Phenom Queen City Showcase, we spoke more with the 2023 point guard to learn more about the latest and the breakdown of his game. Check out what he had to say with PhenomHoops.

Phenom: How have things been going overall with you and the Atlanta Allstars to start the summer'
Rechsteiner: It has been great so far.  We are very close as a team and very talented across the board as well. I'm excited to compete and watch all my teammates get opportunities for the future and also excited to get better and work on my weaknesses and strengths before college.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game'
Rechsteiner: I am a true point guard but can play many different roles depending on what my team needs in certain games.  I am becoming more of a leader, and I have a good IQ and handle that allows me to play well in the pick and roll. I am shooting 60 percent from three on the year, so it always helps to be able to shoot from anywhere on the court.  I feel like I can play with anyone in front of me and score and compete with the best of them.  When my scoring is not always there, I can find ways to impact the game through defense, talking, and running the offense.

Phenom: How has your recruitment been these days'
Rechsteiner: Recruiting has been good. I have five offers with interest from around 15-20 other Division I programs.

Phenom: Who all has offered you and who has been staying strong with you in your eyes'
Rechsteiner: I have offers from Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, Texas State, North Florida, and Mercer.  I would say they all have been staying strong and they all hit me up on around a weekly basis.  I have a good relationship with all the coaches and like them all a ton.

Phenom: Who has been showing interest your way'
Rechsteiner: A lot of schools like Toledo, Loyola-Chicago, Belmont, Wofford, Rice, South Alabama, Appalachian State, High Point, Furman, and some more have been showing interest for a good bit of time now.
