Phenom Hoops opened the new Rise Indoor Sports Complex with a bang with the Phenom Stay Positive, as teams came all throughout the region to come and compete for a championship.  The talent was off the charts but only a few teams could be crowned champions.

It was the battle of the titans in this one, as Mint Hill Lakers and Wallace Select/Boo Williams Carolina brought fans a treat to end their afternoon on Championship Sunday.  Wallace Select jumped out early, knocking down shots regularly but also bringing that intense mentality on the defensive end, creating turnovers and capitalizing on offense. But give credit to Mint Hill as they never panicked and started to chip away into the lead in the second half, eventually tying the game up at 54 with just under five seconds to go as Glenn Bynum Jr hit a big three.  We headed into overtime, where it was a big defensive steal for Mint Hill and Khalil Brantley raced down the other end, eventually getting to the basket and getting a goal-tending call to end the game and earning a championship.

Final: Mint Hill Lakers 56 – Wallace Select/Boo Williams 54
