Player: Colin Ball
Class: 2025
Height: 6'1
High School: Carson

The 2025 class is shaping up quite nicely here in North Carolina early on, as we have presented many prospects already and more names should be popping up.' We are here though to shed a little more light on another young player in 2025 6'1 Colin Ball from Carson High School and Crown Academy. At an early stage, he is one that can play and operate from multiple positions, with his outside game as a shooting guard but also plays forward and fill up the stat sheet.

This past season, Ball averaged an impressive 9.5ppg and 5.0 rpg for Carson and has produced this summer as well, including a few strong showings recently at the Phenom Opening.  As a player that has been quite consistent, Ball is one to start adding to your watch list in the state of North Carolina.

Also, check out his Phenom Camp evaluations from the past as well.

Phenom Evals:

'He's an unselfish, high-motor prospect with the understanding of how to thrive within a low-maintenance role on either end of the floor. Ball embraces filling in the gaps and capitalizing on opportunities whenever available. He defends, makes plays offensively, and does the little things for this group. Ball did a great job of producing within a role. Coach Bendel on Ball: 'Colin was extremely consistent throughout the day. He's excellent at making useful contributions within the flow of the game. While his reliable production made a major difference, his refusal to force the action was arguably his biggest appeal. He got defensive stops, finished in transition, and hit shots as needed. Colin is mature for his age.' Ball did a variety of things well at camp and will be a prospect to watch progress going forward.'

'He's a rugged, strong-bodied prospect with a high motor and the ability to make plays without necessarily requiring a ton of offensive touches. Ball consistently makes his presence felt on the glass as a two-way rebounder, securing a quality amount of second-chance opportunities and looking to advance the ball in transition. He's an effective scorer from the perimeter but also uses his length and energy very well to score around the basket. Coach Staley on Ball: 'Colin is a high-level rebounder with a nonstop motor. He displays a great feel for the game. Colin can score the ball well from all three levels. He maintained a positive attitude and unselfish mentality.' Ball enjoyed a very productive showing during camp and should be an impact player during his upcoming eighth-grade season.'
