Ashaun Moore 6’1 165 2025 Team Loaded AAU
Ashaun is a tremendous athlete with a strong frame, excellent footwork, speed, and toughness. He’s got great size right now and knows how to use his strength to his advantage both on the basketball court and on the football field where he is an elusive, strong-armed quarterback who dominates with superior athleticism and talent. That elusiveness carries over to the basketball court where Ashaun demonstrates a solid handle and great body control as he slices to the rim. He uses crossovers and behind the back dribbles, changes directions nicely, and uses dribble hesitations to keep defenders off balance. His combination of strength and shiftiness gives defenders fits and he is an excellent finisher. His strides are long and decisive as he attacks and sidesteps defenders and he is so graceful as he weaves through traffic.
Ashaun can grab a defensive rebound and take the ball coast to coast making dribble moves in stride and finishing around traffic and through contact at a very good rate. Really has a great touch around the rim. I really like how instinctive he plays off the ball. He is a threat from beyond the arc on spot-ups and has fluid mechanics. Nice high release, excellent shot preparation allowing for a quick release. Ashaun has great hands and can cut to the rim catch and finish nicely and also hit the catch and shoot jumper or pull up off the dribble in the mid-range area at a good rate. He protects the basketball properly while attacking the rim. Ashaun is a good passer on the move, makes good decisions, and displays good vision.
Defensively he is a threat on the glass and plays off the ball instinctively getting into passing lanes and always seems in position to make a play. He’s effective as an on ball defender, defends either wing nicely and has the physicality to engage bigs around the rim providing a paint presence defensively. His ability to impact games on both ends of the floor and from multiple positions is part of what makes Ashaun such an impressive prospect. He’s obviously been coached up nicely as he demonstrates advanced footwork, agility and playmaking skills. He’s a threat from all levels and has the athleticism and physical tools to be an impact player with and without the ball in his hands.
He’s a fantastic multi-sport talent, and tough and fearless competitor and has a chance to be very special. Remember the name, a breakout is coming!
