Phenom Evaluation:

“Continuing onto a player that possesses all the necessary tools to appeal to various types of college coaches, Will Brimmer. He's a long, wiry, athletic wing prospect with IQ and a fairly well-rounded skillset. Brimmer can apply scoring pressure in a variety of ways but is arguably at his best when attacking downhill or forcing turnovers, and getting out in transition. Coach Dre on Brimmer: 'Will is a handful and not an easy cover on the offensive end. This kid's ability to get downhill and just have his way is phenomenal! Also, he stands out as a vocal leader and doesn't take plays off. From station work to our last game, I was absolutely impressed. He gets above the rim, can shoot, and locks up on defense. He is also a luxury for a coach because he can play on or off the ball.' Brimmer proved to be an asset during camp and should have another productive season as the clear leader of New Bern.”

Brimmer continues to be a name making headlines on the eastern side of the state in North Carolina and deservingly so, as he has helped New Bern to a solid season and has continued to put up some impressive numbers. The 6’3 guard showed this summer his production and how key of a piece he can be for All-Carolina and is doing it even more during the high school season. He continues to show a well-round skill-set on the court, impacting the game in a variety of ways. Brimmer plays with a great motor, gets downhill well, and plays extremely hard; love his motor to his game and just continues to fill up the stat sheet.

When speaking with Coach Calvin Campbell at New Bern, he had this to say about Brimmer:

“Will is a pleasure to coach and brings his hard hat and boots every single day. Will is a leader in our school building. If you stop and ask anybody in our building about him, they will have nothing but good things to say about him.”

Right now, he currently holds an offer from Jackson State but others like Appalachian State and UTEP have been expressed interest his way according to his coach.
