Greensboro Day has been a focal point in North Carolina high school basketball for quite some time now and will be once again. They look to be loaded once again and will have several key pieces on the floor. One player though should get more recognition for what not only he provides for his high school team but what he also showed at the Summer Havoc was 2023 5’11 Jordan Moody.
Moody was part of what was a successful weekend for Team United GSO, as they went undefeated and rolled through the competition. The point guard not only shot the ball well, hitting 60 percent from three and showing that he could impact the court on both sides, but he also dished out six assists and grabbed five rebounds per game.
He has shown countless times to be a huge piece for his team, providing leadership and a stable presence in initiating the offense but also as a player that plays scrappy on the defensive end. Moody, along with the entire Team United GSO, had a great weekend and will be one to watch more this summer and into the high school season.
What Has Been Said:
“Moody is a tough, rugged defender with nice feel as an offensive initiator and the ability to score the ball in various ways within the flow of the action. He willingly makes hustle plays and certainly stands out with his motor and unselfish approach.”
“There are a ton of valuable pieces on this Greensboro Day squad, and Moody stands out as a difference-maker. He’s a smart, tough, well-rounded guard prospect who excels at producing within a role and filling in the gaps on both ends of the floor. Moody naturally does a little bit of everything as a utility guy for this group. He defends hard, pursues rebounds, makes hustle plays, and scores as needed. Moody is also great about making hustle plays and locating the extra pass.”
