It is always great to highlight players that should and will earn more attention in the near future and one player that I have my eye on is 20223 6'5 Nicholas Dorn from JL Chambers.  Over the last few months, Phenom Hoops has watched Dorn in action at the Myers Park Summer League and multiple Phenom Hoops events and he has shown that he is ready for a bigger stage.

Many may know of his family and their past, finding success on the court and football field.  Torin Dorn, the father, was successful on the football field, while his two brothers, Torin Dorn Jr. and Myles Dorn, found success on the court and field as well.

Now, it is time for 2023 6'5 Nicholas Dorn.  When you watch his game, he certainly brings intriguing play with his outside shot-making to go along with his development and his size.  He is a long, physical and skilled prospect that has shown to be a sharp-shooter from outside as well as show instincts in creating for himself.

When speaking to him more about this summer, he hopes that this could a breakout-type season.

'The summer has been going good so far,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'I feel that I have been progressing well.  I wanted to show my length and also that I can knock down shots efficiently and rebound at a high level; also try to show my versatility.  I feel that I have been getting more consistent and getting better every day.'

With how he has grown and now ready for an even bigger stage, it will be interesting to see who will get involved with his recruitment.  But one thing is for sure, it is time to start learning his name a little more and he should be a name to watch in North Carolina.

Game Description:

'I would best describe my game a s a shooter that can be a great asset on the boards and on the defensive side of the ball.  Also, one that makes the right play.' – Dorn
