Player: Noah Van Bibber

Class: 2023

It looks to be an exciting upcoming high school season, especially with the talent around the state. There are a few new talents though coming in that college coaches should be looking at quickly, as they have showcased early on that they can play at a high level. One player that I've personally watched on a few occasions this summer and fall is Noah Van Bibber, a 6'4 prospect at Concord Academy. Coming from Florida, Van Bibber has quickly caught the attention of many and once you see his game, it is easy to see why. He has really good size, has such a smooth game and feel on the court, he can be a knock-down shooter from behind the arc or even with his one-dribble pull-up, and is athletic enough to finish at the rim well. Van Bibber has a very well-rounded game that should have college coaches' attention. And he has done that pretty consistently over the years, even down in Florida. As a sophomore at DeLand HS averaged 12.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, shot 42 percent from the field and hit 56 threes while shooting 38 percent from three. As a junior, he increased that to 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, shot 42 percent from the field and hit 45 threes while shooting 38 percent from behind the arc. The 2023 prospect has a lot of intrigue with what he provides and with how the game is played, he certainly can check off some boxes for college coaches. In speaking with Van Bibber, he mentioned that schools like Appalachian State, Liberty, Asheville, Davidson, and Wofford had expressed some level of interest early on.

What Was Said by Phenom Hoops:

'Phenom Hoops had a chance to watch Bibber this summer during the LIVE Period and once again in open gym.  In both instances, Bibber impressed.  He is a 6'4 prospect that checks off boxes with how he understands the game and his IQ; he just has a natural feel to his game.  Coming from Florida, he is one that didn't receive much attention but that could quickly change.  When you watch him operate on the court, he can be deadly with his pull-up game (one-dribble jumper), finish around and at the rim with good athleticism, and plays with an unselfish feel on the court.  Underrated but maybe not for long.'

'Coming from Florida, Van Bibber is a name to put on your watch list for 2022.  He stands at 6'5, plays with a natural feel as well as making smart decisions.  He is efficient on the court and has good athleticism to his game, along with his ability to knock down shots, whether it is off the dribble or in catch and shoot situations.'
