Kenny is a freakishly athletic, high IQ floor general who impacts both ends of the floor with his elite-level quickness and relentless energy. Always on the attack he can score from all levels and demonstrates great vision and passing skills. He can contort his body so as to finish around length and finish with either hand at the rim. Kenny has tremendous end-to-end speed in transition and is an intelligent decision-maker. His explosive first step and great quickness allow him to slice through defenders in an elusive manner and get to the rim at will.
Kenny uses stutter steps effectively and does a terrific job of changing gears. His quick, tight handle features hard crossovers and inside-out dribbles and he demonstrates sound footwork off a dribble move into his pull-up jumper. Kenny's first step is downright lethal and even from a standstill, his ability to accelerate quickly is eye-popping. He can split defenders and slip through a seam with ease posing both a scoring and a passing threat on the move. He has excellent vision and passing skills, he can brake and hit the pullup with good consistency and shows a great touch finishing off the glass or with runners. Kenny has a quick release making him so difficult to contest given his blow-by quickness and his range extends beyond the three-point arc.
On the defensive end, his quickness, relentless motor, and tremendous wingspan allow him to stifle the best of ball handlers. A lock-down defender with quick hands, excellent lateral mobility, and instincts. Solid anticipation skills in passing lanes and quick to double teams and traps. Kenny also rebounds the basketball at a good rate for a guard, especially on the defensive end. He's so active and instinctive and has the ability to impact a game with his defense. One of the quickest guards we've had in the 757 in a long time! Kenny comes to Kecoughtan High School from Indianapolis Indiana where he played for George Hill All Indy and Indiana Heat. He has the basketball DNA as his Dad starred at Southern Indiana and his Mom, Tamara Dozier was a multi-sport star at Virginia Beach's Kempsville High School where she later coached girls basketball.
Kenny has quickly established himself as one of the most electrifying playmakers not only in the Hampton Roads area but in the state has put together some impressive performances at the CBG Live Showcase in Richmond and during winter league play at the Boo Williams Sportsplex over the last several weeks. Kenny is an all-state caliber guard and coaches to the D1 level should add him to their watch list!
