It had been some time since we have seen DeLoach but Phenom Hoops got their latest glimpse of the 6’9 prospect at the Phenom LIVE in Spartanburg and he certainly impressed with his game. This is a young man that has a great combination of size, athleticism, and skillset, allowing him to operate in multiple areas on the floor. DeLoach is an athletic forward that can score at the rim but also step out with his offensive game. He also has a tremendous feel for the game and really can impact the game on the defensive end.
It is why his offer list continues to get bigger, with schools like Kansas State, VCU, South Carolina, and Houston have now joined Iona, Texas Southern, Georgia, Appalachian State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina State in recruiting him.
Coach’s Breakdown (Rob Johnson):
“A 6’9 combo forward with a special skill set. An excellent passer, scorer and playmaker, high-level defender, rim protector, can switch one through five, can score from the wing, inside and outside, off pick and roll as a ball-handler and roller. Very good in iso situations.' Excellent passer. In college, he can play both forward positions and at the five position because of his tenacity and physicality. Has only played two full years of basketball. Offensively he is very similar to Pascal Siakam. Defensively he is similar to Draymond Green.”
