Phenom Hoops continues to bring some of the latest news and updates for players in the country, as we speak to them about the latest in their recruitment.

We recently spoke to 2024 Draven Pilson from Forsyth Country Day, who is a rising prospect in North Carolina and who earned his first offer recently from South Florida.  He talks about that moment and his conversation with the staff, and who else has been showing interest his way.  Check out the latest.

What Has Been Said Before about Pilson's game:

'Pilson is an intriguing prospect when you watch his game.' He has good size at 6'7 and the one factor in his game that stands out quickly is his ability to operate all over the court and mobility on both ends.' He is a good athlete, impacts the game with his length, has a skill set that allows him to produce down low, maneuvers around the court, can step out, and runs the floor.' Pilson has made strong strides in his game and the future looks bright as he continues to develop and grow.' That potential is what makes this young man very intriguing to watch.'

Recruitment Update:

Since June 15th, when coaches could get in contact with players in the Class of 2024, Pilson has heard from quite a few programs and even earned an offer from South Florida.' It was an exciting moment for the forward from NC, securing that offer from USF as Coach Gregory and the staff said they really liked his game and what he could provide.

'When Coach Gregory called, he told me that he was very excited to start recruiting me and said he liked my all-around game.  He asked what I think I need to get better at and I said playing down low in the paint and getting stronger.  He also said that now that I'm not an underclassman anymore, he expects my game to take a huge jump in school ball.'

USF isn't the only program that has been in contact, as Pilson mentioned that UNCG has been staying in close contact with him since June 15th, while also hearing heavily from Arkansas.

'I think I have talked to about all of their coaches at some point,' Pilson said about talking to the Arkansas coaching staff.' He also mentioned that he has earned new interest from Murray State and Radford.
