Up in South Dakota, you may stumble upon Lincoln high school in Sioux Falls, and there, you will find a rising sophomore that has the attention of many coaches already. And deservingly so, when you see a 7-foot sophomore on the court. 2024 JT Rock, one of the top prospects in the country, is helping lead the charge for the Patriots as Phenom Hoops spoke to the intriguing sophomore about his season.
'We are off to a decent start, we are 5-5 right now but we are getting better each game,' Rock said. When asking more about his presence on the court, he has really been able to show more about his game and impact.
'So far, I have been the rim-protector. I step out and hit the occasional three but I am mostly playing down low. My jump hook and turnaround fadeaway shots are shown to be effective as they are very difficult to contest.' I am hoping to play a little more on the outside, moving around more and being a scoring threat off the dribble, rather than mainly catch and shoot.'
Recruitment Talk:
2024 7'0 JT Rock certainly has the attention of college coaches and college programs all around the country, there is no doubt about that. The sophomore big man earned his first offer back in October from Iowa State but he then received offers from Wisconsin and Creighton in October as well and then he added offers from Nebraska and Iowa back in November.
'I am keeping in touch with coaches from each school as they are busy with their season as I am with mine,' Rock told Phenom Hoops.
Rock also informed us that Purdue has been showing interest a little his way, as well as New Mexico also. As it comes to visits, he doesn't have anything planned as of right now.
