Highlighting players who recently played in our Phenom Prep Showcase, we now take a look at a player who impressed all our scouts at the event.. 2025 6’2 Babacar “Djibly” Ly may have been one of my favorite players from the event, as he shined in so many areas on the court. The 6’2 guard made his impact felt all over the floor both offensively and defensively.
Offensively, he showed that he can be wire to score and fill it up when he needs to, operating well from the perimeter, knocking down shots with range, and using his 6’2 athletic frame to his advantage, playing bigger than listed in several instances. But what grabbed my attention though was also his ability to be a playmaker for others, delivering dimes and timely passes, setting up his teammates well, and showing tremendous vision on the court, not to mention his ability to get on the glass as well. Defensively, he created issues with his size, getting in the passing lanes, showing good court awareness, and being active all over. There is no doubt in my mind that this is a young man that should have the attention of college programs, as he could be a late steal in a big way.
