What Was Said at Phenom G3 Event: 'Lewis was one of those players that I watched all weekend long and he impressed me each time he stepped on the court. He is an intriguing guard that can be explosive, attack in the open floor, and is not only able to get inside the defense to finish but also get to his spots to knock down jumpers. Explosive athlete, active on both sides, has the size that you like, and can be a playmaker off the dribble.'
Diving More into His Game:
At the Phenom G3 Showcase, The Skill Factory certainly brought in some tremendous talent to the table but 2023 6'4 Isaiah Lewis was one that consistently earned my attention. For a program that is looking for a late get, Lewis could be one that I would dive more into and learn about. Why' Well with what he showed at the event, Lewis was one that made his presence felt in a variety of ways. He has the size that you like as a guard, whether he was helping lead the offense or playing off the ball in being that scoring impact. He showed flashes of his speed and athleticism out in transition, was able to get to his spots at times to rise up or continue to stay in attack mode to get to the basket. But he didn't force many shots, as he also was able to penetrate and kick to the open teammate.
Lewis was a consistent presence each time he stepped on the court at the Phenom G3, producing offensively, being active and engaged defensively, and making a variety of plays in several areas of the floor. For a prospect still uncommitted in the Class of 2023, he should be one that gets those late looks from college programs.
