Phenom Hoops was back in Rock Hill (SC) once again for the Phenom Post Grad/ Prep Nationals, as we were looking to crown a few champions along the way.
The first championship on the day was in the Bronze Division, as Westlake Prep and Experience Academy squared up. It was a tight battle for much of the first half, as both teams played with tons on energy but also couldn't really break away from each other. Experience Academy was able to get to the line consistently and really attack inside the arc, while Westlake had the outside game going as well as a strong presence with their size. Both teams were trading runs and blows, but it was Westlake Prep that had the last punch when they were able to break away from a one-score game and increase their lead to double-digits in the final two minutes of the game. In the end, Westlake Prep was able to walk away with the championship, winning 65-56.
