To finish off the Phenom Hoops' West Virginia trip, Jamie Shaw and Patrick O'Brien headed out to one of the top and certainly upcoming programs in the country in Teays Valley Christian. After finishing the season 23-5 last year, including wins vs. Oak Hill, now they look to not rebuild but to reload.

Coach Ryan Arrowood has a few returning players but also several intriguing new names to keep an eye, as Phenom Hoops breaks down the roster.

2021 6'4 David Jones

Coach Arrowood is highly excited about what Jones brings to the floor and getting a first glimpse of him, we can see why. Jones is a big-time scorer as a physical guard and he rebounds really well. He has great body control and pace to his game, finishing at the rim at a high level. Jones' feel in transition is great and is also a vocal leader on and off the court. Look for Jones to make a name for himself this season.

2021 6'5 Chrishawn Christmas

As one of the returning starters, Christmas brings elite athleticism and uses it very well to his advantage. He feels comfortable attacking the paint and rising up over defenders, and trust us, he isn't afraid to put his opponent on a poster. He is getting better as a shooter and continues to work on his spot-up shooting. With his ability to cover a lot of ground and his bounce, he has a chance to really rise up college programs' board as he continues to develop.

2022 6'2 Josiah Davis

Davis is a name that people NEED to jump on now, as he will be a popular name this season and summer. Davis is incredibly strong and can get anywhere he wants, especially working in the paint. He has the capability to post up guards as well. Davis is a strong ball-handler and gets downhill, playing at a fast pace. He has all the potential to be a Top-100 prospect and one of the top point guards in the country. He will be a name you will hear.

2021 6'8 Shaumba Joyce

At 6'8, Shaumba is a difference-maker in the paint, especially on the defensive end. Has a great wingspan, active hands, and really attacks the boards. He excels better on the defensive end but still shows low-post potential, finishing around the rim.

2021 6'8 Landry Palata

Palata has more of an offensive game but is still working on his overall capabilities on the court. He shows confidence in stepping out on offense, running the floor, and shows the signs of being an effective wing; it just has to all come together with time and repetitions. Love his ability to have an impact defensively with his wingspan, making it tough for a shooter to rise up over him.

2021 6'2 Brandon Brown

Brown brings another ball handler to the floor but is still adjusting to the game at Teays Valley. But he showed incredible signs of being a consistent knockdown shooter and initiating the offense. Plays with a smooth feel to his game and isn't rushed.

2021 6'4 Leo Lin

Division II/ III schools should be taking a look at Lin for sure. He is fundamentally sound, plays hard, and is a prospect that makes winning plays for his team. He plays incredibly smart and mistake-free basketball, not to mention the capability of being a knockdown shooter from deep.
