Phenom Hoops started to hit the road on Wednesday, as we started off our open gym tour at Combine Academy, getting a chance to look at all their teams. The first up on the afternoon was the post-grad team, one that has an array of talents that can play at the next level and should have the attention of many; a very talented group.

2022 5'9 Jacob Cooper

Cooper is one that caught the eyes of many this summer and will look to be a leader on the floor leading the charge. The 5'9 guard showcased his ability to fill it up scoring-wise, using his speed and shiftiness to his advantage. His ability to impact the floor on both ends is intriguing and he plays incredibly tough. Cooper should be one that college coaches should learn more about and will be one of the leaders on the floor.

2022 6'6 Jayden Brewer

Brewer is another long-wing type prospect that showed he can operate with the ball in his hands or without. His ability to use that length and wingspan to his advantage is tough to finish over or around defenders, getting to the rack and showing a soft touch. But also can facilitate, get in out in transition well, display nice athleticism, and make an impact on the defensive end.

2022 6'9 Corneilous Williams

Williams has continued to develop his overall game while still being consistent on the boards and mobile down in the post. Williams was always so active in getting on the boards both offensively and defensively, showcasing a quick second jump and reaction. Explosive forward that continues to finish strong at the rim but also shows more comfort in stepping out.

2022 6'2 Jason Kimbrough

Kimbrough is another incredibly quick guard and excels in pushing the ball in transition and using his speed to his advantage. Really like how unselfish he can play on the floor, finding his teammates for open shots but also creating for himself and being a nice threat from three.

2022 6'6 AJ Smith

There is another AJ Smith at Combine, as Smith is a 6'6 prospect that brings a nice frame to the court.  He plays with a terrific, calming pace on the court and seems to never be sped up.  Smith is strong with his pull-up game but also is extremely explosive in attacking the rim. Loved his feel from the perimeter, pulling up with a smooth, confident release.

2022 6'7 Ja'Mais Werts

Werts is one that should quickly garner the attraction of college coaches. This is a 6'7 versatile prospect that can operate comfortably in all areas of the floor; a really tough matchup. He has a high release with his outside shot, can put it on the ground and create for himself, and match up well defensively with an array of positions.

2022 6'8 Jayson Harris

A 6'8 forward that brings size and strength down low in the post but moves really well on both sides of the floor. Being agile and having solid footwork helps him operate well in the post with a nice touch. Also allows him to switch out on defense and step out. He also runs the floor well for a big.

2022 6'4 Kai Evans

Evans is the player that absolutely loves to compete.  He is going to be that toughness that teams always look for on both sides of the floor.  Evans can find his spots to knock down shots but is strong in getting downhill and fighting through contact.  Then bring that same tough mentality on the defensive end, getting into an opponent and creating havoc. Doesn't force much and plays well within the offense.

2022 6'2 Ethyn Brown

Combo-type guard that plays well on and off the ball. A tremendous athlete that gets after it defensively. Brown can score in bunches but also plays with an unselfish feel on the court; plays the right way. He will be another guard that provides depth for this team.
