Heading into the mid-day of the event, the energy did not stop there as Winston-Salem Regional and Northside Christian Academy hit the floor for Game 3.  Winston-Salem Christian came out strong on both ends, creating a lot of havoc for Northside to find their offense but Northside got back into it, picking up the energy on both ends and getting themselves right back into it.

It was a single-digit point game for much of the third and into the fourth, with the energy level from the players and crowd being off the charts; it was an absolute battle with neither team backing down.  Winston-Salem Regional had one last push to get their lead to double-digits late and they created enough of a cushion to eventually hold on, despite a late run by Northside.

Final: Winston-Salem Regional 69 – Northside Christian 66

Stat Leaders:
Winston-Salem:
Lewis Walker 22 points
Aries Hull 14 points
Arrington Jones 11 points

Northside Christian:
Glynn Hubbard 19 points
Daniel Lubamba 15 points
Jan Homanen 10 points

Standouts:

2021 Glynn Hubbard (Northside Christian): Hubbard continues to show that he can be a player for college coaches, with his downhill ability but also his ability to read the floor, make the right decisions, and also be a scoring threat.

2022 6’5 Daniel Lubamba (Northside Christian): Lubamba is like that energizer bunny that just keeps going, as he is relentless on both ends and has a non-stop motor.  He brings it on the defensive end but found his game offensively as well, scoring in multiple ways and being aggressive.

2024 6’5 Lewis Walker (WS Regional): Walker has really impressed this weekend, putting up another 20+ performance against older talent.  He is an absolute wrecking ball when he attacks the paint and comes through the lane.  What has been most eye-opening is his ability to put the ball on the deck and attack, something you may not have seen in the past.
