We went into our second to last game of the night, as Northside Christian and Winston Salem Christian battled it out on the court. Winston Salem was able to grab the narrow lead early on 18-14 behind the play of Lewis Walker and their guard play but Mychael Mithcell and Sam Cogan found their rhythm early from outside as well. Winston Salem Christian played well defensively in the second quarter and the outside game from Gersem Borodin and others helped WS double up on their lead at halftime, leading by 8 at 36-28.

The offense started to pick up on both ends, with Lewis Walker and Isaiah Washington leading the charge for WS Christian and Mychael Mitchell and Daniel Lubamba heading the attack for Northside Christian. It was a back-and-forth affair for much of the third quarter, with WS Christian holding the 24-22 lead in the quarter.  Fourth quarter though, with WS Christian leading by 10, Northside started to chip away slowly at the lead and eventually tied it late at 65 in the fourth quarter.  Winston Salem stepped up though with two straight scores, allowing them to hold on to the narrow lead late.  Up by three with just second remaining, Northside had one final chance to tie the game but just missed, as Winston Salem Christian walked away with the 73-70 victory.
