The night continued at the Phenom November Classic, as the action continued with Liberty Heights National vs. Lake Norman Christian on Day 2. Two very intriguing teams coming in, it was going to be interesting to see which team was going to be able to make their mark on this one. It certainly wasn't a high-scoring affair, as teams were battling on both sides of the floor and it was a physical one as well. Liberty Heights, led by Silas Demary Jr. grabbed the one-point lead after the first quarter, with Demary scoring nine of the 14 points. But it was the play of Josh Bullock and Shane Fernald in the second quarter, as well as key rebounds and strong defense that ultimately led to a four-point halftime lead, 28-24.
The low-scoring affair continued throughout the third, as Lake Norman Christian held onto their lead throughout the quarter. In the fourth quarter, we got our first double-digit lead, as Lake Norman was able to run the clock and efficiently execute their offense, leading by 10 with four minutes to go. Liberty Heights tried to attack and make a comeback but Lake Norman got some key 50-50 balls and found ways to score or get to the line. It helped Lake Norman Christian secure a big win in Charlotte, 57-42.
