Next game up on the schedule was Gaston Christian and Henderson Collegiate, both coming in and looking to show just what they have this season.  Both teams got underway early, with Henderson Collegiate taking the narrow lead early on behind a late three at the buzzer by Ellis Williams, eventually leading 11-7 at the end of one.  Second quarter though, Henderson Collegiate started to make plays, run their offense, and effectively increased their lead to double-digits midway through the quarter.  TJ Ragland was the leader in the second quarter but Gaston Christian was able to cut it back down to 10 points behind three straight 3’s from Joe Rhyne.  At halftime, Henderson Collegiate led 33-23.

In the second half, Gaston Christian was able to make another run, really picking up the tempo and pushing out in transition, as Jahseem Felton was leading the charge.  They were eventually able to tie the game up at 50 and they didn’t let their foot off the peddle, continuing to attack. Taking the lead after the tie, Felton and company was able to expand their lead to seven in the late seconds and all but secured the comeback win.
