We headed into the night sessions of the afternoon and fans got themselves an absolute show coming in, as to of the premier programs took the court in Carmel Christian and Providence Day.  Carmel is coming off a great showing last weekend and this was the first chance for many to see what all the talk was about at PDS.

Providence Day came out strong and showcased their new roster, a little bit of outside game as well as their size down low which ultimately helped them out to the early 16-10 lead over Carmel.  The guard play was strong in the first half, but so was 2022 Cade Tyson for Carmel Christian, as he really kept his team within striking distance by halftime.  Tyson scored 15 of his team's 24 points, but Providence Day found themselves up 28-24 at half.

Second half, these teams came out and absolutely competed on both ends. It was a physical game but Tyson continued his tear on the court, scoring all over the court and knocking down jumpers in a variety of ways.  Eventually, this game was tied and a back-and-forth type of affair, with teams trading blows leading into the fourth quarter.

The teams remained within a basket of each other or tied for much of the fourth quarter, shaping up in what could be the best game of the night. Back and forth these teams went, both making plays as we went into the final minutes of the game. Carmel Christian held the one-point lead in the final seconds, as Logan Threatt sunk two free throws to put them up three with nine seconds to go. Quave Propst-Allison scored a lay-up late but Carmel Christian took home the hard-fought win 60-59.
