Final matchup of Session 2 on Saturday pinned Bull City National vs. TLAP, two very talented squads that had people excited.  Bull City played well in the first half, as they were able to create a double-digit cushion by halftime behind the play of LJ Thomas and Treyvon Byrd, who was lighting it up early, scoring 24 of the team’s 35 points in the first half.  Lee Dorsey found success from outside early and JaQuan Scott produced for TLAP but they still found themselves down 35-23 at half.

Bull City didn’t let up on the gas in the second half though, as Bryce Harris was off the charts with 22 points in the second half, while Dondre Watson filled up and Byrd continued his attack, as Bull City outscored TLAP 44-33 in the second half.  Nygell Verdier and Scott were the two that continued to attack in the second half for TLAP but it just wasn’t enough.

Treyvon Byrd 20 points
LJ Thomas 15 points

TLAP:

Standouts:

2021 Bryce Harris (Bull City Prep): Harris put on a show in the second half, scoring 20 points in the second half and finishing 26 points in all.  The versatile prospect showed it all, hitting from three, using his versatility to get to the rim, and also showcasing his athleticism on the court.

2021 Dondre Watson (Bull City Prep): Watson is an absolute freak athlete and he can put on a show with his ability to finish extremely strong at the rim but what continues to impress is his continuous development of scoring outside as well. He gave us some highlights tonight in this win.

2021 Jaquan Scott (TLAP): Scott is going and should have the attention of college coaches with his strong body and his blend of athleticism, feel around the paint, and ability to finish and body defenders. Scott is definitely one that should be heard more about with his style of play.
