After an entertaining day of basketball on Friday afternoon in Raleigh, we are ready to roll for Day 2 of the Phenom National Showcase at Ravenscroft high school.  Phenom Hoops continues to provide the best coverage around and if you, unfortunately, missed the action today, here is your game recap from the day.

Game Report:

First Half

The talent and college coaches were out for this one, that is for sure. Combine Academy had the guard play, while ISA had the size. That is exactly what each team used to their advantage. Charles Bediako made early noise with his energy, shot-blocking, and his perimeter game; it was tough early on for Combine. However, Combine Academy used their advantage along the outside to their advantage, hitting 7 of 13 3-pointers in the first half. Bediako led all scorers in the first half with 13 points, while Jalen Miller went 4-for-4 from 3 for 12 points.

Combine held an advantage shooting-wise, recording 13 more attempts than ISA.

Halftime:

Second Half

Bediako and Barba looked to step up their offensive scoring but ISA Academy struggled to find others to help fill in in key scoring droughts. Combine's Jalen Hood-Schifino was a mastermind on the court with his pace and feel, but he also looked to be aggressive scoring-wise, scoring 19 of his 29 points in the second half. Overall though, it was the 3-ball that helped Combine in this win, as they knocked down 13-for-24 in the game.

Final: Combine Academy 78 – ISA Academy 65

Stats:

Combine: Jalen Hood-Schifino 29 points/ Jalen Miller 15

ISA Academy: Charles Bediako 21 points/ Andy Barba 14
